Love
8:09 pm. August 31st, 2009. I am what I have become today because of love so many years ago. As far back as I can remember, love was always present. It could be seen in the eyes of my family as well as friends of the family. Till this day, love springs eternal; it also is expressed with two distinct faces: The face that preserves life and the face that destroys life.
I wonder if it is fair to say that in order to understand love you have to first know what love is. Now, some say that love is a feeling while others claim it as an emotion. Some reveal it as an action and others as...well...this list can go on.
Do you believe that you can see love or just the remnants of actions? Can you smell love and feel ot from time to time? Can you taste love in the air while in the midst of sunshine or snow? When nature turns the forests green and provides us with oxygen to sustain out lives, is that love? When rain falls on fire soaked dry forests and prevents loss of life, is that love? When the words "I love you" are wispered to you, is that love? When you are riding the bus and you see a stranger changing a diaper, or offering a seat, or moving out of you way, is this love?
One thing is certain, love leaves an impression. What does it do for you?
